11th day juicing!

Slice fresh ginger
1 celery
1 1/2 small apples
1 small pear
Large kale leaf
2 carrots
1/2 cucumber

Wrap the cup in wet paper towel, throw in freezer.... Ice cold within minutes!!

Last night I mixed strawberries and tomatoes! Yummy! (PS. down 3lbs)

Again....super healthy, but the one radish took over! Yucky!

Delicious Dinner/Dessert Smoothie

Remember I said I was craving fruits & veggies?

Well this is what I had for dinner...

1-pureed banana
1-pureed mango
2-oranges
1-apple


=YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!

I'll call this one...chuggy mc-nasty

7 full days of juicing!  This one was gross...had to chug it!

1 radish
2 carrots
1 apple
1/2 green pepper
2 tomatoes (small ones)
1 kale leaf
1/4 cucumber
Slice if fresh ginger

It clearly is really good for ya, but blechhhhh....the taste was awful!

after juicing for 7 days straight:

*I feel more energetic
*crave fruits and veggies
*increased my breast milk supply drastically
*my nails have been growing like crazy and VERY strong

So far that's all I noticed, but I will keep juicing I think :-)

Oh, haven't weighed myself too see if I lost weight...

Sneaking in tomatoes... *snicker*

Breakfast day #6

4 carrots
1 celery
3 tomatoes
1 small apple
1 orange

Delicious, but the tomato does trend to take over a bit.  (husband will probably not be to thrilled with this one)

Oh and PS.  We need a deep freezer BAD!  Coreys milk has taken over!

It's a cheap-o's storage dilemma

Okay....so we have no room for food.  The freeze is full of breast milk for Corey.  He's only 14 Weeks old, and I store some at my sisters house too!  I don't want a deep freezer, just because:
1. Where would we put it?
2. I'm cheap and don't want to spend.
money on it.
3. I'm not sure we'd get much use after Corey didn't need the milk anymore.

Anyone got any ideas.....?

Day #5 Modified juice fast -breakfast


3-carrots
2-beets
1/2-sweet potato

Extremely earthy flavor, but not terrible at all.  Kind of sweet.. and ... uhhhh.. Earthy.  That's the only word that comes to mind while I'm sipping on this concoction.  Yes, I would make it again.  I would have thrown more items in this one except my husband used all the vegi/fruit items!!! Leaving me bare bones this morning in the juicing world!
Oh well....

Lack of sleep and a donut got the best of me...

Please forgive me as this post is coming from my phone.  Auto correct WILL make me look like a big dummy.  (these are cell phone pics)

Maddison is sick, fever, croup...just a mess.  Plus being semi potty trained and sick...makes for great bed wetting..Ughhhh.  Everything angels like urine...baths and laundry galore.

So....I got maybe 2 hours good sleep last night, and Corey slept like a "baby" as they say...he didn't wake up once all night.  My sweet little angel! 

So anyways...juice fast day #4.
Breakfast.....
1 apple
1 mango
2 carrots
Slice of fresh ginger

Absolutely delicious!
2 caffeinated coffees
Annnnnnnnd...... Yup 1 Chocolate coconut donut from jerrys...(at work..some devil brought them in)

But hey, I've been good, I'm not on a strict diet.  I won't beet (get it? Hardy harrr harrrr) Myself up for it.  I'll make a green juice later...

Should have thought this one through better.....

Day#3 Modified Juice fast--Lunch


Chugged this juice... def. wasn't good.
2-beets
1-green pepper (not sure why I did this)
1-cucumber
1/2-carrot
1-apple (tried to make it taste better)

Will not be making that combo again... 

You say rabbit food.. I say Breakfast!!




Modified Juice Fast Day#3 Breakfast:

2-Apples
1-small slice ginger
1-entire lemon (peel and all)
a few of the smaller pcs of celery
3 1/2 carrots

Makes for a nice color drink.  It was like a very tart flavored lemonade.  The peel makes it very bitter.  I won't be juicing the peel anymore.  I noticed a lot of juice recipes call for the lemon w/ the peel , so I wanted to try.. but BLECH.. bi-ttter.  This drink was hard to muscle down, solely for that reason.  Lesson learned.  Good news is.. it did fill me up!!

No pics of what the kiddos were doing.. as Maddison has the croup and is chillin' on the couch, and Corey is sleeping in his room.  It's an early juice day!

Day#2 Modified juice fast LUNCH

Day #2---Lunch


2-Beets (yummy.. just love beets!)
1-apple
2-carrots
2-leaves of Kale
 Isn't the color pretty?  I thought that the beets would create more juice than they did, but BOY oh BOY was this juice a treat!  I know I said that my breakfast juice was absolutely delicious, but these beets made this juice very very tasty.. think this was my favorite so far.  It was very sweet... I love sweet.

PS---I've had (other than the juices) today...
far too many handfuls of Smartfood popcorn.
Dinner tonight is the left over turkey tacos from last nights dinner.  
PSS..... didn't know until I just googled..... beets turn your pee pink.  Good to know.. .good to know... 

Modified juice fast day #2 breakfast


Day #2 Breakfast:

It all started with 1 orange, 1 mango, a pinch of ginger and a yellow pepper.
This tasted delicious, but was not enough substance for an entire meal!!  Very refreshing!!


This is just 1/2 of a yellow pepper....pretty , right?
So I added 1 apple, 2 carrots to the recipe.. and used the whole pepper when I was in fact only going to use 1/2.

This made for a beautiful juice... and absolutely the best one I have had yet!!!  So refreshing and tasty!!  When I stirred it .. it was a bright orange like an artificial orange juice like sunny D.. but nothing artificial HERE!!

I am feeling a little hungry this morning.. so this def. didn't fill me up like yesterday.  This would be good in small quantities as a tasty snack, I think. Can't wait until LUNCH to come up with something different.  I'm thinking it will have Kale and/or Spinach.. make a green juice to help satisfy me until dinner time!!

And of course.. here is what my kids were doing while I was preparing my tasty juice.

Coffee Creamer

Homemade coffee creamer
recipe found on the internets

14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
14 oz whole milk 
(can use lower fat milk, but I desire creamier coffee creamer--say that 5x fast)
then you can play w/ flavors if  you want.
I put a few drops of almond extract & a few drops of vanilla extract

I put back in the original 1/2 & 1/2 container.. you have to shake before using & lasts in fridge for 2 weeks!

 I plan on re-using the 1/2&1/2 container until it falls apart.  Cheap I am.
My chicken scratched date/flavor & SHAKE well before each use message.

my favorite travel cup that my husband bought for me!!  It doesn't hold weird flavor like other travel mugs, the metal ones or the plastic ones... it's ceramic so it's just like a regular coffee cup!

My Goal:
Meal replacement 2 meals a day... 

 a modified juice "fast."  Well.. not really a fast at all, because I will eat 1 regular meal a day, and snacking.  I will not be able to juice at work... so most days this will be the non-juice meal. My 3 month old son is nursing, I thought it was a great way for both of us to become healthier.

Day 1 Breakfast--- 4 carrots

 The carrots are absolutely DELICIOUS, by the way.
Below is the fruits/vegis stash I have gathered so far!


Day 1 LUNCH:

1-cucumber
1-green pepper
2- carrots
1-lemon
(ehhh.. it was okay.... )Pictured below









So far today.. I've had:

  1. too many pretzels (my favorite food ever) with  some dip... (yes, I said it.. dip)
  2. 1 cup of regular coffee, cream & sugar.. and 2 cups of decaf, cream & sugar
  3. 2-bottles of water
